We've added another core team member, have more individual and business supporters than ever before, and once again, doubled our programming. In addition to another successful summer series and the festival (coming up real soon!), we also had monthly programming from January through the spring.
We are hoarse from all the "yeahs!" and sore from all the high fiving. And we wouldn't have it any other way. Every time we meet a new friend, see someone at a second or third show, or get email or message asking how to be involved, we know we're on the right track with our ultimate goal of providing space for artists to gather and grow, to support them on both sides of the stage, and to build a culturally rich, sustaining community. The Summer Shakedown is next weekend, September 9th and 10th in downtown Peekskill. Two days, 20 bands, vendors, food trucks, fun for the little ones, and the trusty ol' bubble machine. The past few years have been so hard on everyone. Come make new friends and hear new music. These shows would not be possible without your support. Because of our structure, more of every dollar you donate goes directly to programming. In fact, because of your donations this year, we were able to double the festival artist minimum payout. That's amazing! You did that! As we gear up for winter programming and begin planning for next year, your continued support will be vital. Come to the Shakedown and see what all this is about.
