About
"Open Workspace" will provide free access to tech hub facilities through collaboration to young coders from indigent communities in & around Effurun, Nigeria. Our goal is to encourage open source projects and to inspire developers from indigent communities by providing internet access workspace for free. This collective will be used to fund these tech hubs for the indigents and other related activities.
We intend to make an open call for would-be and young content-writers, software designers, developers and programmers from these indigent communities that are serious minded and interested in developing their tech skills as well as to contribute to open source projects. Also we are going to collaborate with some Tech Hubs around Effurun, Nigeria in driving this vision. However, beneficiaries of Open Workspace will be provided with Open Workspace Vouchers to access these hubs for their personal and community use.
This will lead to economic advancement of these communities in and around Effurun, Nigeria. While the direct beneficiaries will improve and upgrade on their tech skills, making them to be ready for startups launch and software projects engagement. Also, this will create a readily available community pool of techies that will advance the course of open source.
