Our story starts with the following dilema: the balance between robust security and user-friendly design. When we started many existing solutions either compromise on security for the sake of ease or demand technical expertise beyond the reach of average users. We set out to develop a solution that brings the ease of use of commercial VPNs with the security and privacy open-source projects are known for. The result is a client and server designed to be straightforward for users to operate and configure, yet uncompromising in incorporating state-of-the-art security mechanisms.

Our goal with OpenConnect VPN is straightforward: to offer ease of use and enterprise-level VPN features within an open-source framework, while ensuring security is a priority from the start. We believe in making advanced VPN solutions accessible and secure by default, reflecting the needs of organizations and individuals alike in today's landscape.
