February Update for OSC

🟣 From OSC 


Berlin: FOSS Backstage Discount, OSC Pizza Party and Team Offsite (Mar 16–21)
OSC will be at FOSS Backstage, in Berlin Mar 16th and 17th. We have a limited number of discount codes available for projects hosted by OSC. If you’re interested in attending, please email us and we’ll share a code with you while they last.

The OSC team will also be using this opportunity for an OSC team offsite for the rest of that week, which is always a joy since we’re spread across the world. We’ll still process expenses and respond to tickets, but responses and processing times may be slightly slower.

Meshtastic 101
Last month, part of the Meshtastic crew joined our Spotlight call to chat about the mesh networking ecosystem built on LoRa, enabling long-distance, low-bandwidth communication for things like messaging, location tracking, and sensor data. 

Additionally, they talked about some very interesting real-world use cases from their community, how they handle community development, and how they manage AI-generated pull requests.

  • Applications are open for Session 4 of the GitHub Secure Open Source Fund, which supports projects working to improve the security of the open source ecosystem.   • Open Source Endowment has launched to support funding for open source projects through an endowment model. Projects can be nominated for funding through this program. Learn more here: https://endowment.dev/
