March Update from OSC
Published on April 10, 2025 by Grace
Hello, OSC community! As we're easing into April, we're back with a few updates for you...
Ecosystem Funds
Ecosystem Funds
Back in December, we announced Ecosystem Funds, a collaboration between OSC and Ecosyste.ms. a service designed to 'turn funding your critical dependencies into a five minute conversation with your CTO'. Ecosystem Funds is now available to the public, check it out at https://funds.ecosyste.ms/
With 291 curated ecosystem funds , this initiative is transforming how we fund the dependencies we all rely on. Instead of picking individual projects, you can now support an entire ecosystem, and we’ll take care of distributing funds to the right maintainers—automatically, transparently, and equitably.

Instead of picking individual projects, you can now support an entire ecosystem, and we’ll take care of distributing funds to the right maintainers—automatically, transparently, and equitably.
This means:
✅ Easier to support the software you depend on
✅ Funding the projects that are most used, over those that are best known
✅ A more sustainable open source future

A Note for U.S.-Based Projects (or any project with ties to the U.S.)
With many changes happening around digital infrastructure and government funding in the U.S., we're working to better understand how open source communities are being affected. If recent policy changes have had an impact on your project, we want to hear from you.
Email us at [email protected] and let us know what, if anything, you’re experiencing.
A Quick Note for Funders
If you send funding to Open Source Collective via bank transfer, please note that some of our banking details have been updated. If you've saved our banking information for quick transfers, please update it with the new information. If you have any questions, please email us at [email protected].
