Update: Outgoing Payments & Limited Manual Payout Options
Published on December 29, 2025 by Lauren Gardner
Hello everyone,
We wanted to share a quick update on outgoing bank payments.
We are still actively working with Wise to resolve the issue affecting outbound payments. At this point, Wise has confirmed that the problem has progressed from the initial compliance review to a technical issue with the connection between Wise and our account. Their team is investigating, and we are in regular contact to restore service as quickly as possible.
Limited manual payout options
While this issue is being resolved, we can manually process some payments more easily than others. Manual payouts are most feasible in the following cases:
- The recipient’s bank is in the United States, or the recipient is using Wise to receive funds (for any expense, regardless of the $ amount)
- The expense currency is set to USD, even if the recipient’s bank is outside the US and the amount is over $5,000.
The $5,000 expense limit is due to the $15-per-transfer fee for non-US banks. Wise's transfer fees are significantly lower, and if the expense is not time sensitive, you would save money by waiting until the Wise issue is resolved.
For expenses that require currency conversion, differences between Wise’s FX rates and our bank’s FX rates mean we cannot reliably guarantee that the amount received will exactly match the approved expense. In those situations, we believe it is better to wait until the Wise connection issue is resolved so we can process the expense accurately.
What we’re doing
We are proactively reviewing expenses and will do our best to identify and process approved expenses that meet the criteria above.
If you have an expense that:
- Meets the criteria above, or
- You would like us to prioritize paying this week
Please reach out to us at [email protected], and we’ll take a look.
Expense submissions can continue as usual, and we will resume standard payouts as soon as Wise restores full service.
Thank you again for your patience—we know this is disruptive, and we appreciate your understanding while we work through this with Wise.

Thanks for the transparent update. It's helpful to know Wise is the bottleneck and that manual payouts are possible for US-based banks or USD expenses over $5,000. For anyone looking for a reliable alternative platform while these payment issues get resolved, there is a solid option available at kk pk, just visit the link in the profile or the website shared above. Payments updates like the one on OpenCollective around outgoing transfers and limited manual payout options show how important it is to keep financial handling transparent and easy to track. When budgets or distributions are affected by fees or taxes, using a VAT calculator helps quickly estimate net and gross values before making decisions. In that sense, a VAT calculator can be a simple reference point when checking how much actually reaches recipients after adjustments.

Vidrush AI reflects how faceless video creation is increasingly being automated through AI, making content production more system driven and less manual. The OpenCollective update on outgoing payments and limited manual payouts shows a similar shift where financial workflows are being tightened and streamlined for better control and efficiency. Both examples point toward a broader move in digital platforms where manual processes are gradually replaced with automated, scalable systems.
The update about outgoing payments and limited manual payout options shows how platforms sometimes need temporary workarounds when standard payment channels are disrupted. It also highlights the importance of clear structure and transparency in handling financial flows during such changes. This is somewhat similar to how pricing clarity is organized in resources like CoffeeMenuShub price hub, where structured information helps users quickly understand value without confusion.

The Open Collective update on outgoing payments and limited manual payout options highlights how important smooth and reliable financial processes are for open source contributors and maintainers. It also shows how platform stability and timely settlements can directly impact trust and long term participation in collaborative ecosystems. In a similar way, services like Taxi for Umrah help ensure dependable transport arrangements for pilgrims so their travel logistics remain organized and stress free.
