Solarpunk social hardware with Scuttlebutt

Warm greetings from the PeachCloud team! First up, a quick update regarding the financial status of the project: we're currently sitting on a balance of $1,188.19, with @glyph having invoiced $550 to cover 26 hours of work in November. We'd like to extend our thanks to @happy0 for donating 100 Euros to PeachCloud, by way of the Handshake Council, and to @cblgh for contributing $100 on behalf of Debricked. These kind contributions keep us going!

Efforts in November were primarily geared towards continuing work on the web interface for PeachCloud (peach-patterns repo). The flow for network-related interactions is starting to take shape, as shown in the screenshots below.

Image caption: Composite image of three PeachCloud user-interface screenshots, each one a vertically-oriented rectangle. Each screenshot features a top and bottom nav-bar and has a gray background, against which is set a vertical rectangle with rounded corners and a near-white background. The first of the three screenshots shows information relating to the network interface and has two buttons: 'Deploy Access Point' and 'List WiFi Networks'. The second screenshot shows a list of 'WiFi Networks', along with status information for each. The third and final screenshot show network device information, as well as a 'Password' input element with two buttons below it: 'Connect' and 'Cancel'.

While not directly related to PeachCloud, November also saw the release of the SSB pub operator survey for 2019. The survey, led by @glyph and the Community Infrastructure Learning Group, was created to gather basic pub-related stats from Scuttlebutt pub operators. The learning from this survey will help inform further development efforts for PeachCloud and related Scuttlebutt projects - both in terms of code and documentation.

Thank you for reading our update and for your continued support. Until next time, much love from the PeachCloud team!
