Please see our video message here: Fady visited Aleppo, Syria on Feb 21, 2023 and on March 5, 2023 and saw the needs on the ground. We sent $700 to our partner (a believer, also named Fady) in Aleppo, where our partner will distribute aids to families of a local Maronite Church affected by the earthquake.
We are doing a one-time fundraising effort to buy more nutritious food for these families. Fady saw how the people of Aleppo are struggling as many of them only survive on vegetables and grain as the cost of meat is too high. He has the heart to buy 1 kg of meat to give to each family. If possible, he also wants to treat these families to a hearty meal as a way to cheer them up.
We plan to send the collected donation to Syria by March 13. Please pray for this effort, and also help us spread the words so more people can remember the earthquake victims in Syria in their prayers.
Many people are sleeping on the streets as they fear new aftershock will bring down their buildings. Many buildings are structurally compromised due to damages sustained during the civil war.
