About
The Plymouth Hub for Climate Justice was formed to support the COP26 Coalition (which included environment/development NGOs, trade unions, grassroots community campaigns, faith groups, youth groups, migrant & racial justice networks) and we've continued building a grassroots climate movement in Plymouth & surrounding areas to address Climate Justice.
We organised the Art for Climate Towards COP26 event and the Global Day of Action March and People's Assembly in 2021 & 2022, in Plymouth, and continue organising towards a real conversation about the root causes of this emergency without whitewashing the climate narrative. Social justice is intimately linked to the issues of the climate crisis. Following the IPCC reports, we know we need to maintain the pressure on politicians and corporations to reduce global heating emissions by at least 8% a year from now, towards zero carbon emissions by 2035, while at the same time strengthening our community.
