No.2 Exchange Meeting on "Citizen-Generated Data initiatives"
Published on April 27, 2022 by Sebastian Klemm

Dear community.

BECAUSE
... some interested parties could not make the date of our first meeting, we just conducted a second exchange meeting about Citizen-Generated Data on 26 April, to raise connectivity for the expertise and study findings of Ideas for Change.

LIGHTNING TALK
In a lightning talk, Giovanni Maccani, senior researcher at Ideas for Change, elaborated on the "Taxonomy for Citizen-Generated Data initiatives in Catalonia", its structure, findings and way forward. 👉 You can find it detailed in our interview here.

CONTRIBUTIONS
We have been delighted to facilitate a lively discussion with participants from i.a.:
 OUTCOME
Through this meeting & shared documents we were able to:
  • Increase connectivity for the study findings of Ideas for Change.
  • Ignite a mutual exchange on the potentials of Citizen-Generated Data.
  • Interconnect participants from both this and our first meeting.
  • Surface next opportunities along the participants' affiliate networks.
  • Give rise to further knowledge sharing on international & EU-wide best practices, new project ideas and alliances.
NEXT
Proofing Future: Bridging People + Ideas, respectively Proofing Future Europe, would be happy to facilitate a continued forum and structure that actively bridges domains, enables frictionless collaboration & new alliances.

We therefore consult with the participants on their visions how to evolve next steps in co-benefitial, meaningful ways. - We achieve this by conducting a subsequent survey, using the open source software SurveyStack from Our Sci, which we could design as to i.a. allow respondents to see what others have answered in the publically disclosed parts of the survey on the results page.**
