About
The Challenging Psychedelic Experiences project is a not-for-profit research foundation that researches challenging psychedelic experiences (i.e trips that lead to life-challenges lasting longer than a day) and how people cope with them. We're a group of academic psychologists, philosophers and psychotherapists, based in the UK and US, with strong experience in the field of psychedelic research and integration. The main project we're working on in 2022-2023 is a mixed methods study of challenging experiences, using an online survey and follow-on qualitative interviews to discover what sorts of life-challenges psychedelics can occasionally lead to, and how people best cope with them. We are also active in public communication, and are producing a lot more research on other psychedelic-related topics.
