Organize PyCon Namibia, Namibia's most important international open-source software conference

About

PyCon NA develops Namibia's software capacity and skills. It has been directly responsible for advances in the careers of Namibian programmers, and for initiatives within Namibia to build on local talent and energy.

Namibia's software industry is young, but the success and seriousness of PyCon Namibia demonstrates that its future is bright. It's an unmissable event for any Namibian programmer, whether in industry, research or education.

The conference has raised Namibia's profile internationally. PyCon Namibia inspired the creation Python programming conferences in Zimbabwe and Nigeria, and travellers from other African nations to learn how the PyCon model can benefit their own programmers and software industries.

PyCon NA brings programmers and software experts from all over the world to Namibia. Attendees come from Brazil, Britain, Canada, Germany, Ghana, Greece, Italy, Mozambique, the Netherlands, Nigeria, South Africa, Spain, the USA, Zambia, and Zimbabwe, among others.
