About

RE USA is a network of students and academics campaigning to reform the teaching and practice of economics so as to build a discipline and an economy that prioritize the wellbeing of people and planet.

Since our founding, RE USA has supported a growing network of local groups at universities across the country. We also conducted survey research, in partnership with the Roosevelt Institute, to demonstrate college students’ criticisms of the US economic system and the lack of pluralist thought in undergraduate economics curricula. A cornerstone finding of this survey was that 95% of college students believe that the current economics system in the US should change.

We have hosted various webinar events and a National Gathering hosted at Stanford University. RE USA has also made multiple media appearances. At the moment, we are launching an online course called Rethinking Econ 101 that will introduce students to the wealth of thought and perspectives which are missing from their economics curricula.
