We Signed A Lease!
Published on March 24, 2023 by Aza

The Raleigh United Mutual Aid Hub is very excited to announce that as of this morning we have officially signed a lease on a location in the heart of downtown Raleigh!

This is a huge step forward for our goal of creating a community center and resource hub to support mutual aid efforts among our neighbors and partners. We're all thrilled that this is finally happening, and can't wait to get the space put together so we can open up and start operating! Keep an eye on our socials for updates as things develop, but for now we have a walk-through video of the space posted to our instagram story, as well as these photos to share:

In the coming weeks we plan to invite our partner organizations to the location to dream with us on how best to transform this empty former office into a purpose-built mutual aid hub.  Once we have that concept we can start building out the space, soft-opening to partner organizations, and moving in groups like Food Not Bombs who will be using the space for staging their operations. At the moment, our prospective time for fully opening to the public is early June.

We are hugely appreciative of our supporters and sustainers who have enabled us to reach this point! It means the world to us that there's so much positive energy behind the work we're doing.

With deep love, gratitude, and solidarity,
Raleigh United Mutual Aid Hub
