Dear Open source Enthusiasts,
I hope you are going well amidst this pandemic and contributing to opensource projects.
I hope you are going well amidst this pandemic and contributing to opensource projects.
This mail is regarding our opensource organization and related support we request.
Recently we have started as an early-stage startup, named eduAlgo. The aim of our OpenSource Branch is to promote opensource and gain contributors for our projects, especially beginners. Recently one of our python package of the same name eduAlgo on PyPI, has crossed 12000+ downloads worldwide according to the data available from PyPI.
This project has been a part of some very well known opensource programs in India namely, FOSS Hack 2020, PyCON India Devsprint 2020 & Winter Of Code. Also, we were a part of Hacktoberfest 2020 as a participating project, this year.
We would like to request some help as we are kids in the field of opensource for our python package and make that more user friendly.
- We need some suggestions and reviews on our package, we would be glad if you take some time from your busy schedule and provide us with some reviews and suggestions.
- Can our package be a helping tool in any of your technology? If yes, please let us know, we will be glad in helping out.
- We need a small capital of donation as sponsorship for the advancement of our project, if possible. You can sponsor us in our official open collective account. We don't need a big amount, but any amount even if it's small enough is fuel to keep our organization alive.
- The most important one, we need contributors and users for our package. If possible please suggest us some ways.
Regarding your expectations of us, don't worry about that we do a lot of things to convey our gratitude for your help, which includes,
- Putting your official logo in our sponsor and partner section (you may check our open source site mentioned above)
- Promoting your service and product in our community meetings (we have Fellows from 120 colleges in India & foreign countries of Asia)
- Sending a newsletter and including a few positive words for your product and your help in open source (we have a database of more than 6000 contacts)
How are we going to use this grant?
We love open source just you do and we love to spread the word about anyone who helps us. This is how we grow in the community.
As an opensource enthusiast my self, I strongly believe if we come together for opensource development, especially learning then, things can be changed in the industry by making it more user-centric and the development procedure more interesting.
Hoping to get the reply soon, Happy opensource development guys.
