About

WHO ARE WE

SAVE is a collective of (ex) sex workers regardless of type of work, gender, race or ethnicity, sexual orientation, lifestyle, migrant status or age.

HOW DID IT START

SAVE (Sex workers against violence & exploitation) started as a campaign to share information about the WRS and the harms of criminalization under the motto “don’t save us, save our jobs!”

OUR VISION

SAVE’s vision is of a world where sex work is recognized as work; where all sex workers are respected and their rights are upheld, regardless of gender, race, social and economic status, disability, age, migrant status, and sexuality. We strive for a world where individuals are able to start, continue, or leave sex work safely and free from violence and coercion.

OUR GOAL

We aim to bring about acceptance of sexual freedom and diversity by presenting a nuanced picture of people working in the sex industry.  In general we aim for  full decriminalization of sex workers, including migrants. We want to combat violence towards and exploitation of sex workers by sharing valuable harm-reduction information with other sex workers and speaking out against whore stigma. We specifically aim to fight against the WRS  by informing other sex workers, politicians and the general public about the WRS and its repercussions. We regularly collaborate with other local and national sex worker collectives and with our allies.
