I whakapapa to China, I strengthened my identity in Taranaki and I found my space in Wellington.

 

I am proud to call myself a Korowai Tupu member (professional association of Youth Work in Aotearoa), my vocation is positive youth development and amplifying young people and those that walk alongside them.

 

As a 2nd/3rd generation Chinese New Zealander, I’m really motivated by using my advantages to open more spaces for ethnic young people to thrive - this sometimes means having challenging and constructive conversations about anti racism, discrimination, identity and being tangata Tiriti.
