XR Leuven en Fiesta Partigiani nodigen je graag uit om te komen kijken naar deze inspirerende documentaire op het Eco-Cultuur Centrum Parkveld!

The Condor and the Eagle is een film van Sophie & Clément Guerra die toont hoe waardevol gemeenschap is om zowel mensen als natuur te beschermen. Vier leiders van Inheemse Volkeren gaan samen op pad op een buitengewone trans-continentaal avontuur van de Canadese  boreale wooden tot diep in het hart van de Amazone jungle om mensen van Noord- en Zuid-Amerika bijeen te brengen en de betekenis van klimaatrechtvaardigheid (Climate Justice) te onderzoeken. ‘The Condor and The Eagle’ documentaire geeft een glimp van de spirituele renaissance die de vier protagonisten doormaken door te leren van elkaars lange traditie van verzet tegen kolonialisme en haar roofeconomie. 

 

Dit event gaat door buiten op het Eco-Cultuur Centrum Parkveld, Veldlaan, Heverlee (Leuven). De normale voorzorgsmaatregelen gelden: gelieve een mondmasker te dragen en de nodige afstand van elkaar te houden. 

 

Het geld dat we ophalen voor dit event zal als volgt worden gebruikt:
- de licentie voor de film: 200 euro 

- aankoop van een scherm: 100 euro (herbruikbaar voor toekomstige events) 

- voorschot voor drank: 100 euro

The Condor and the Eagle is a film by Sophie & Clément Guerra showing how meaningful community is to protect both people and nature. Four Indigenous leaders embark on an extraordinary trans-continental adventure from the Canadian Boreal forests to deep into the heart of the Amazonian jungle to unite the peoples of North and South America and deepen the meaning of “Climate Justice”. The Condor & The Eagle documentary offers a glimpse into a developing spiritual renaissance as the film four protagonists learn from each other’s long legacy of resistance to colonialism and its extractive economy.

This event will be held outdoors at the Eco-Cultuur Centrum Parkveld, Veldlaan, Heverlee (Leuven). Usual protective measures apply: please wear masks and respect physical distancing so as to protect yourselves and others.

The money we are raising for this event will go towards:
- the license for the film: 200 euros
- procuring a screen: 100 euros for materials to build a screen that will be used again in future events
- upfront payment for drinks: 100 euros
