About
"Alone, we can do so little; together, we can do so much." (Helen Keller)
The Covid-19 pandemic affects us all and defeating this virus requires us to come together as a community to support our friends, colleagues and neighbours who may need assistance because they are vulnerable, do not have family living nearby or are self-isolating. Now more than ever, having a responsive and connected community matters.
We are a people-powered, community-focused group of volunteers who have come together to provide a network of support for residents on Tulse Hill Estate in Brixton, South London, who have been affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. We are Community Responders and most of us live on the estate. Our volunteers get involved in a range of activities from running errands to the shops, to making phone calls, to providing a friendly voice of reassurance and more.
As a Mutual Aid Support Group, we are part of a network of local Covid-19 support groups in Tulse Hill Ward and we feed into the ward-level CV19 Coordinating Group.
