The Libre-SOC Project exists because there is no transparently-developed 3D CPU / GPU / VPU in the world. Every processor in every device you own is an opaque design which you have to implicitly trust, and that trust is routinely and systematically betrayed. Intel Management Engine. Spectre. Meltdown. Qualcomm vulnerabilities affecting 40% of the world's smartphones. Apple drive-by WIFI Zero-day exploits. Supermicro being delisted from NASDAQ. the list goes on and on.
To fix this we are developing an entirely Libre-Licensed Vector Supercomputer with 3D and Video ISA Extensions, currently in Draft form, under the watchful eye of the newly-formed OpenPOWER ISA Workgroup.
All source code and all discussions and development are real-time public. No "we'll publish it when it's finished". True collaboration, true transparency.
