The Sameer Project’s multiple ground team units have been working daily during the months of November and December to provide urgent, immediate, and critical aid to internally displaced families in North, Central, and South Gaza.
We’ve had major humanitarian aid and medical aid achievements, as well as gave out shelter support, living essentials, provided education, and created employment opportunities. We funded 1,837,151 “units” of aid benefiting a total of 599,369 individuals. Our focus has been on winter preparedness which is reflected in the type of aid distributed including blankets, warm clothing, shoes, tents, and tarps. Expecting the cold and rainy weather to continue, we intend to scale up our efforts through the first couple months of 2025.
We hosted both daily initiatives and special projects induing…
1. Humanitarian Aid: clean water and community kitchens benefitting 589,202 individuals.
2. Living Essentials, Clothing, Baby Essentials, Living Expenses, and Barbers, benefitting 6732 individuals.
3. Medical Aid, medical services and medications, serving 276 women and children in the North and over 800 patients in the South.
4. Housing and Shelter, Rents, Tents, Blankets and Fire wood, benefitting 1,126 families.
5. Education, education material benefitting 45 children and six fun children’s activity day for 820 kids.
6. Employment, created 27 employment opportunity for Gazas during the war.
Our objectives are to continue providing immediate relief by maintaining our current level of support, and scaling our operations and activities to support more displaced families, particularly if new arrivals are forced to evacuate from the North to South:
1. Humanitarian Aid: to expand our clean water and community kitchens activities to provide support for 200,000 families (double our output).
2. Living Essentials, to expand and scale our clothing, Baby Essentials, Living Expenses, and Barbers activities for 5,000 families more families.
3. Medical Aid, collaborate and increase our medical services and medications, to provide immediate relief and initial medical care for 1,000 patients.
4. Housing and Shelter, To support with Rents, Tents, Blankets and Fire wood for 1,000 families living in extreme conditions.
5. Education, to support educational projects and activities for children to continue their educational journey – aspiring to reach 1,000 student in different camps.
6. Employment, to create more employment opportunities for our ground teams, and grow the team to have 50 active workers in Gaza.
We have a strong network of team members, medical professionals, and skilled workers who contribute to managing multiple initiatives on the same day. We hope to serve more locations, in hard to reach areas by collaborating with remote teams and building on the efficiency of our core team members.
