2023 Update

1. What did you accomplish during 2023? How did you use money?
After 3 years of hard preparation work, we were thrilled to have successfully launched The Week in January 2023 in the US and in Europe! Don’t hesitate to have a look at our website to know more about us: www.theweek.ooo
We've had a pretty busy year:
- Putting together our activation team in the US and Europe to get The Week out there faster,
- Expanding our network through active outreach, fostering partnerships,
- Building a strong, supportive community and crafting toolkits to support them,
- Making our website more user-friendly through a test and learn approach.
Currently we have more than 28000 people who have experienced the Week in the US and in Europe. And that’s only the beginning !
2. What challenges did you face during 2023? What did your Collective learn? How did you change or grow?
We've come a long way since the end of 2022, growing from a tight-knit team of 6 to a fantastic multicultural group of 11 in less than 10 months. Nurturing this rapid growth has been a caring journey, demanding considerable time and effort to welcome and integrate our wonderful new team members.
Our team has been working hard on targeting organizations and networks with our targeted audience to reach out to large numbers of people in a short period of time. We had a strong start in France, and now we're seeing similar progress in Germany. With our US team now complete, we're hopeful for a similar strong development in the US.
We are lucky to have had the renewed support of previous funders but we remain in a delicate funding situation and hope to have the funding to reach our ambitious goals.
3. What are your plans for 2024? Anything exciting coming up?
We have a busy 2024 roadmap as we are committed to:
- Boost the organic virality of The Week,
- Amplify outreach to companies, faith based organizations, citizen led organizations who do not yet have these courageous conversations about the climate and environmental crisis,
- Continue to support all the people who want to roll out The Week in their organization or network,
- Improve our "After The Week" support to all the organized groups,
- Improve our impact assessment and share our learnings with all our community.
