University Screenings for Youth Climate Engagement

In Uganda we offer university screenings of The Rwenzori Rainmakers series with Q&A discussions attended by a project leader from the Rwenzori Founders and the documentary's director Zuleika.  Our targeted audience are students of climate restoration, conservation and biodiversity but we feel it important to mobilise others through film and literacy or business innovation for example via our storytelling workshops which can be aimed at supporting students' own goals.

We will collate feedback and record discussions that cover analysis on lessons learned and student engagement.  Through our educational projects we will use experts to help us to produce resources with clips from the film for further university level study.

Workshop will be tutored by film maker Zuleika Kingdon, with input from Elsie, our Impact Producer from DoccieSphere, or if unavailable can be organised through our talented partners Talking Film Production Services, Kampala who were part of our film team.

In Kampala an event would require US $3,882.00 or UGX 14,510,000.00  or EURO 3,416.00 to include screenings, writing and delivering our workshop, Screening Q&A, licensing, tutor fees and travel, team accommodation and subsistence over 2 days in Kampala.   We will monitor feedback for our published Impact Report.  Further screenings in Kampala will benefit from economies of scale.  We hope to run at least one event in Kampala.

Your donations will inspire more young people to innovate projects and work with local farmers and villagers to make a difference to their environments, wildlife and health.  With the Rwenzori Founders' expertise and DoccieSphere's management and reporting experience, students will gain practical information in line with Ugandan govt restoration goals and the Ministries of Water and Environment, Forestry and Wildlife.
