We had out first community event and partnership since our founding two months ago! This collaboration was with Mezcla Media Collective --  a Chicago-based non-profit arts organization transforming the local film industry for over 700 women and non-binary filmmakers who identify as AALANA (African, Latinx, Arab, Native American). 

Mezcla has had an influx of requests on where to find Mezcla projects.  This event is to network and showcase what Mezcla members are working on. The purpose of this event was to connect community members and allies with others that can aid in furthering their work as well as to show the robust community and variety of creative projects happening right now. The Reservoir provided support in creating a video with filmmaker’s trailers, designing a program for the event, assisting with set up and wrap out. The event sold out 40 tickets! We were also able to collect feedback from artists about ways they can be more directly supported by creative organizations such as our own.
