SGVUX#3 Impact of Culture on Design and Tech
San Gabriel Valley UX #3 Storytelling: Impact of Culture on Design and Tech
About
This is a storytelling event. Everyone who attends will be the audience and anyone has the option of being a storyteller. If you want to tell a story of an experience you had where culture played a big impact on design or the other way around, … you fill out a slip with your name and drop it in a hat (it might be a bowl or bag).
We'll pull names 10 times as they go.. 5 stories a small break and then 5 more. And that's the whole event. What's that? You want to really try going or speaking? Do you want to know more?
The prompt is "How culture impacts design." Prepare a five-minute story about interesting design trends you've discovered on your travels or at home. How tourists and non-tourists react to American trends. Does culture matter for product design? What are the different ways in which people interact around the world? How might understanding and respecting cultural differences impact design and the technology we create?
