At TOCK.earth we truly believe that the only way to a brighter future is by investing in the next generation. TOCK.earth is a powerful, fun and innovative environmental education approach for tamariki in their formative years that truly works!!!

About

TOCK.earth is passionate about changing hearts and attitudes to create a brighter future. TOCK.earth is a new approach to building a brighter future, using a character as a catalyst for positive environmental action. We deliver a powerful and unique, fun transformational environmental education outreach programme, giving young children (pre and junior age) both the inspiration and tools to create a brighter future for generations to come.

Created by NZ husband and wife team June and Ian - driven by passion not profit to offer this inspiring education to schools and communities for free. To date we have reached over 80 schools, delivered over 133 workshops to over 4000 young tamariki and over 8000 adults. Our focus is on creating a new generation of kaitiaki to care for our natural taonga and each other. We produce all of the material in the programme - songs, resources, art work/graphic design, design and delivery of workshop, crafts and incorporate the use of NZ sign language and Te Reo Māori in the workshops.

The purpose of TOCK.earth is to educate and inspire NZ children in the early childhood years, a time when their key values and beliefs are forming, to work together as a team, following the concept of Kaitiakitanga. So they grow to become a generation of true kaitiaki of Papatūānuku.

Feedback has been amazing and people are telling us we must keep doing what we are doing because we truly are making a positive difference, our approach is really unique and it really is working!

“The Tamariki were so engaged and inspired. Whānau told us their tamariki spoke about TOCK all weekend. As Kaiako, we too are really inspired to do better, reduce waste and be more sustainable. This was the most inspiring visit we have had in relation to sustainability.

“The children and of course teachers enjoyed your teaching so much. We had great feedback from parents through the weekend and the kids educate their parents!!!

“The children have still been talking about tock this morning, even after the long weekend! So you must have made a great impression! Once again thank you for all your great communication with staff, resources and the experience you have provided our centre, it was invaluable.”

“It’s amazing and I feel so lucky to have such a thoughtful son. I thought you’d like to know that the impact it’s had is amazing and how thankful we are that you’ve created such a great idea to share with young people, that WORKS

The children were super excited to meet Tock, and as June read us the story “Tock saves the Earth” our tamariki seemed surprised when Tock helped tell this story by speaking to us!

“The children were buzzing and certainly learnt a great deal.
The teachers also picked up some great tips too

It is all amazing – the children’s engagement is testament to this

Please support us to help us to build a brighter future for the children of Aotearoa.
