Trans Healthcare Access Glasgow

We are a trans-led collective, committed to improving trans health outcomes and access to healthcare among trans people. We work within Glasgow, where we are based.

We started with a plan to research and present evidence and a clinical model for a harm reduction blood testing model for trans people taking Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT), but we have since evolved to providing this testing ourselves. We currently provide blood tests for free to trans people on a harm reduction basis. We currently achieve this through partnership with Sapphic Bison and private health testing services.

Long-term we would like to do more of the testing work in-house, and are currently researching and building capacity to do this as we go. At present we are entirely crowdfunded. A major goal for the next year or so is to seek grant funding so that we can reliably provide testing on a longer-term basis.

Our overarching goal is the provision of free healthcare services for trans people.
