I am having to move out alone due to a relationship breakdown, I was planning to move with multiple people as the estate agents didn't provide us with a contract, but I was being heavily exploited so I'm moving by myself. Unfortunately this has upped the costs of moving a lot as I'm no longer splitting any of the costs like the deposit or buying white goods for the property .

I am technically a squatter at this current residence as there isnt a contract, so whilst I do recieve PIP & UC I don't recieve housing benefits at the moment which has made it even harder to put money together. I currently have about 400£ aside.  But even the cheapest place I've applied for requires a deposit of £900 + however much white goods costs.

I am also applying for a credit card, but I had to leave my passport at my family home when I fled from abuse, so I am now also having to pay almost 40£ for a drivers licence to use as ID for the credit card and moving identification.

I don't know how much to ask for, Kay saw my Facebook post about it and told me to email you guys or apply again to see what you can do.

I'm also considering re declaring myself as homeless to get council help but I truly cannot explain how inaccessible and dehumanising that process was last time and I am trying to avoid going down that route again.

I'm not sure how much or if you can help again so im just putting 50 in the box. Thank you for your time reading my explanation and considering to help

Expense policies
We accept claims for the cost of medications, food, transport to appointments, counselling and anything related to your transition. We also support trans, nonbinary, and intersex (TIN) folk with bills and living expenses. We do not currently accept claims for money for pet expenses.

If you are applying for the first time, please provide the first half of your postcode and a link to one of your social media accounts in the "additional invoice information" box. This is to verify your identity and prevent scammers from taking money from trans people.

Please also let us know how much you need (max. £60 per month) and what you need it for (eg. bills, food, debt etc etc) in the "additional invoice information" box.

We don't allow reoccurring grants set through open collective, we ask that you don't set your grant to reoccur automatically as it adds strain to our grant team and can create duplicate expenses.

For our full policy, please read the below document for full requirements when submitting for funding. https://transaid.cymru/types-of-grants/
