About

TypeHouse: An open source collective for indie TypeScript

TypeHouse is a collective of open-source projects that push the envelope of developer experience and type safety. If you build things with TypeScript, you're probably using several TypeHouse libraries.

We joined together into a single collective to keep our projects well-funded and sustainable. The TypeScript ecosystem is fragmented, and that's a good thing. You can pick and choose the libraries you need, without needing to buy into a monolithic ecosystem like Django or Ruby on Rails.

But this has negative ramifications for ecosystem sustainability. You may be using a couple dozen libraries and utilities to build your project. If you're looking to support open source, which of those packages deserve your funding? How many should you support? In practice, this paralysis of choice makes donating to open source inconvenient and overwhelming.

Who we are

TypeHouse is an open-source collective for the world's greatest TypeScript libraries. If you're building a product with TypeScript, you're probably using several TypeHouse libraries. Consider giving 1% of your revenue to support the free software that makes your paid product possible.
