Ground & Field
PROJECT
Part of: The Veydrin Order
Fiscal Host: The Veydrin Order
Food systems, pollinator habitat, and land restoration. The hands-in-the-soil side of the Veydrin Order.
About
Food, pollinators, and land. The work you can see from the road.
Ground & Field is where the Veydrin Order puts hands in dirt. Greenhouses that feed communities year-round. Hives and native pollinator habitat. Faith lands turned into living groves. Soil work measured in generations, not news cycles.
Every dollar here funds work you can walk out and touch. Every outcome gets published openly. How much was grown. How many were fed. What survived. What didn't.
What this funds
- Aquaponic greenhouses. High-efficiency food systems designed to feed 100+ people year-round per site, with roughly 90% less water than soil growing. Year-round greens, herbs, tomatoes, and fish protein. Training sites for youth and local partners. Replicable models others can copy.
- Apiaries and pollinator habitat. Honey bee management and, more importantly, the native bees, moths, hoverflies, and butterflies that do most of the pollination work on this planet. Habitat plantings, forage corridors, hands-on training.
- Living grove kits on faith lands. Partnering with churches and faith communities holding unused ground. Fruit trees, perennial crops, resilient gardens. Free to harvest, open to the community. Covenant of stewardship required.
- Soil and seed work. Regional seed saving, soil health monitoring, open datasets. Not academic. Real yields on real land.
Open by design
Everything grown, built, and measured in Ground & Field is recorded against open data standards the Veydrin Order publishes and defends. OHDS for apiary and pollinator data. OCEADS for controlled-environment growing. Anyone can audit the numbers. Anyone can fork the approach.
No proprietary reporting. No locked-in vendor "solutions". Just work, food, and honest books.
