Wade Wallerstein is an anthropologist from the San Francisco Bay Area. His research centers communication in virtual spaces and the relationship between digital visual culture and contemporary art. Wade is Associate Curator at Gray Area, where he organized the 2021 Gray Area Festival, titled Worlding Protocol. Wade also serves as Community Manager for Outland, a web3 art and editorial platform, and Co-Director of TRANSFER, a femme-forward and simulation-focused art gallery. In 2019, he founded Silicon Valet, an experimental virtual parking lot for digital art that featured an artist residency and solo exhibition program. His curatorial work has been featured in the New York Times, Dazed, Artforum, AQNB, Canadian Art, & more.
