New Year's warm homemade food for the streets - Full Bellies!
Published on January 3, 2024 by Julian Reyes
We purchased some Chilli fixins from Fiesta Grocery Stores. And we made Chilli and Rice and met a friend, Richard "Cornbread" that also made black eyed peas and cornbread. Together we fed about 40-50 people warm, home-made food. A special treat for most. Most people wanted all of it together "Mixla-style."
A special New Year's meal for luck and full tummies.
It went smashingly. We went to Cesar Chavez, 2 stops, including under the bridge and Terrazos Library. And then to Burton and Oltorf. And then we fed people also near HEB Riverside. And then we were done. Even had a little chilli left over for later.
