We Are The Resistance

The climate crisis affects us all, but it doesn’t affect us all equally; among those who are disproportionately impacted are women of the global majority (Racialised women). Despite this, women of the global majority have been, for centuries, at the forefront of environmental activism and pioneers in devising solutions to climate change.

Our mission is to dismantle biases and colonial ideas and stereotypes about women of the global majority; we want to show the world their agency and leading role in addressing the climate crisis in their communities with the hope that this will lead to greater opportunities for participation in policy and decision making and access to greater funding to sustain their initiatives.
