Seismica is a community-driven, Diamond Open Access journal publishing peer-reviewed research in seismology and earthquake science.
As we grow, we are using Open Source Collective to help us manage donated funds from sponsors and individuals. These funds will help pay for:
- Merch! We design graphics for t-shirts and stickers to market Seismica and to thank our contributors.
- Digital infrastructure services like an email distribution service.
- Conferences! We will subsidize the registration and abstract submission fees for Seismica authors and contributors.
- Meet ups + Workshops!
In the future, we may also solicit funds to support other conference expenses, to fund community events and training, and to manage salaries for potential paid positions.
