An exciting new fortnightly event for Bridport in the lovely White Room at the Chapel in the Garden (entry via Rax Lane)

We'll have a delicious (mostly organic) vegan curry from 6ish:

Courgette 'meatballs' with sauce,
Sag Aloo,
Masoor Dal,
Served with Rice and salads.

With so much division in our communities in these troubled times, it's important to remember the inspirational power of coming together in solidarity.

From Below is a feature-length documentary exploring mutual aid and grassroots community action during the COVID-19 pandemic in England. Filmed across six locations – Newcastle, Burnley, Nelson, rural Yorkshire, Lambeth (London) and Guildford – it features interviews with volunteers, organisers, activists, faith leaders and charity workers. The film reveals how mutual aid groups were set up, the work they did to feed and support the vulnerable, the challenges they faced, and how they have adapted in the aftermath of the pandemic and into the cost-of-living crisis. It also examines the politics of poverty in the UK and how communities can organise to tackle it, offering lessons for how we can support one another through future crises, from climate shocks to economic hardship.

We'll also have:

Delicious (mostly) organic vegan curries from Fergus Bradbeer aka Vegie Vortex (who also used to do the curries at Beach and Barnicott), plus hot and cold drinks.

Please note:

Our room hire costs £42/ week so if you're able to able to contribute more than the default ticket amount then please do so.

We also need to ensure enough people come along to make it worthwhile for Fergus to keep coming along to cook up the delicious food - so invite a friend!
