People fleeing the war in Ukraine have sought safety and accommodation all over the UK.  In Woodbridge, Suffolk, we started our first English class for Ukrainians in June, with 13 people attending and with three volunteers. We now have more than 30 people attending the weekly classes, some travelling long distances because there are no other groups north of Woodbridge for more than 30 miles. We are now creating a hub to scale up our support for Ukrainians, aiming to offer more English teaching, regular social meet-ups, and advice and problem-solving sessions. The hub will also bring together those hosting Ukrainian guests, people who want to volunteer, and individuals and organisations wanting to support our work financially.
