About
Youth Engaged in Wetlands (YEW) is the leading global youth network advocating for wetland conservation through awareness, capacity-building, and intergenerational collaboration. Recognized as a key stakeholder in the Ramsar Convention, YEW is committed to ensuring strong youth representation at COP15 in Zimbabwe (July 2025). To achieve this, YEW aims to send 9 core team members, with an estimated cost of €5,112 per person for travel and accommodations, €1,400 for publicity materials, and 949€ administrative fee totaling €48,357. Funding will enable YEW members to participate in key discussions, organize a youth side event, and drive meaningful engagement in wetland conservation. Without youth representation, progress on youth inclusion in global wetland governance could be reversed. To support this effort, YEW is launching a crowdfunding campaign on World Wetlands Day (Feb 2, 2025). Donations not only sponsor youth participation but also contribute to mangrove restoration in the Philippines, enhancing climate resilience in vulnerable coastal communities. Every contribution funds both policy impact and direct ecological restoration—invest in wetlands and the next generation of conservation leaders today!
