Youth Work Wellington

We are a collective of youth workers that promote collaboration and education to improve outcomes and opportunities for the young people of Wellington. As youth workers we know the better connected we are the better supported young people will be when they reach out, we also know the needs of young people are forever changing so good training and education is vital to stay up to date with the most recent evidence informed practice. Youth Work Wellington has been an independent group, supporting those who work with young people for over 15 years through networking events and free youth worker trainings. After COVID and the demand for social services increasing, we have not come together for nearly 2 years, as those volunteering their time to coordinate these events no longer have capacity. We are looking for new and more sustainable ways continue this kaupapa while also ensuring we are reaching those who work with our most diverse and vulnerable communities.
