It is our view that well crafted software is a vital aspect of enabling various organizations to enrich the human experience. However most software isn't well crafted, and instead winds up being a liability that slows the pace of innovation and effectiveness. 8th Light exists to make well crafted software accessible to organizations that add (or have the potential to add) a ton of value to society.

We prefer open source tools that we can inspect, evaluate, and improve. We avoid proprietary products that lack transparency. We do our best to support open source initiatives like open collective because we get so much benefit from the work of others.
