About


Al-Shifa Mobile Medical Point (formerly Al-Mashaala Medical Point) is operated by a group of volunteers dedicated to providing essential medical care at medical point, Almashala street, Deir-Al-Balah, Gaza. Our mission is to offer free consultations and medication to more than 2500 families living in the 2000 tents registered in the camp, ensuring that every individual receives the medical attention they need.
The project lead is Dr. Ismail Ramadan who is a vascular surgeon, resident doctor at Al-Shifa Hospital, recently displaced and working in Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis. Dr. Ismail have been tirelessly providing medical services to hundreds of injured Palestinians. With the help of a dedicated team, they have thankfully saved many lives and prevented countless amputations. Despite our efforts, the situation remains dire.

They urgently need your support to equip this makeshift facility with essential supplies such as:
  • Surgical instruments
  • Sterile gloves and gowns
  • Antiseptics and disinfectants
  • Pain relief medications
  • Antibiotics
  • Bandages and wound care material

  1. English – The medical tent is located west of Al-Mashaal Street on the sea, at the Seventeen roundabout

Project Goals:
  • Provide Comprehensive Medical Care: Ensure access to quality healthcare services for children, the elderly and Providing health care for pregnant women and Ultrasound image of the fetuses.
  • Offer Free Consultations and Medication: Supply essential medical services and medications at no cost to the patients.
  • Promote Health and Well-being: Enhance the overall health and well-being of the vulnerable population in the area.

The tent is based within close proximity to 11 tent refugee camps, comprised of more than 2000 tents; near the sea-side in Deir-Al-Balah, where the project will be serving a population of 2500+ registered families (with households of at least 4 members) who were displaced to the camps and have no access to proper medical care, clean water, and are susceptible to infectious diseases. 

Project Team:
  • Dr. Ismail Ramadan is a vascular surgeon, resident doctor at Al-Shifa Hospital, recently displaced and working in Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis. Dr. Ismail have been tirelessly providing medical services to hundreds of injured Palestinians and has been working in the medical tent for about 6 months with/without funding.
  • Ahmed Jamil Mohammed Shabat, Faculty of medicine graduate, volunteering in Al-Najjar hospital in the Emergency and accident department for 8 months, and has volunteered in multiple medical tents In Rafah and Deir-Al-Balah, and is also volunteering at the Emergency department in Al-Aqsa hospital since 6/2024.
  • Salem Dawoud. Paediatrician resident at Al-Nasser Paediatric Hospital. Has worked as an emergency physician at Beit-Hanoun Hospital for a year and then joined the Palestinian Board of Paediatrics program in the year 2022.
  • My name is Hadeel Ashour. Holder of a Masters’ degree in Educational Management. I worked as a team assistant at Dorsch group company, and now volunteering as a secretary at Almashaala Medical Tent. .
  • Maha Khader Dalloul, General Nursing graduate in 2023, and has been working in Emergency Departments as per deployments since the war started. Also volunteering in the Almashaala medical tent for 4 months now.
  • Bshaer Abdullah baker, a Public Relations university graduate, with prioer experience in working as an assistant in a medical clinic. Also volunteering with the Almashala medical team for six months now.
  • Noha Ibrabim Alhabil, a graduate from the Faculty of Pharmacy. With prior experience in working for medical clinics and in a pharmacy before the war started. Also volunteering with the Almashala medical team for six months now.
