Direct engagement in U.S. politics should be accessible to all citizens. But it’s not.
The convergence of activism, media, and elections can amplify the voices of change-makers. No single facet of this triad can achieve its full potential in isolation. Activists need the reach of media to influence candidates, the media requires the substance of direct-action and news-worthy politics, and candidates need media to amplify their voice and activists to provide leverage.
Each is pivotal in shaping narratives and effecting change.
All around us people are actively working to create a more stable government and world. Yet much of that work is done by individuals or by groups that do not yet understand the importance of building coalitions.
Coalitions build power.
Coalitions working in union build lasting political power.
Democratic power comes from coalition building. It is only through uniting the disparate factions working at odds with one another that we can find a common cause and bring about meaningful progress. It is for this reason that AMEtech embraces cross-ideological strategies that build on unifying causes and broad messaging.AMEtech builds coalitions through its clients.
