About

Mission: Our mission is to accelerate the development of the bioeconomy through the use of software to solve some of the world’s hardest problems in biopharma, climate, and biomanufacturing. 

What we offer: Bits in Bio has created a global forum to learn, share, and develop interdisciplinary resources through an online community and in-person events. Bits in Bio levels up both experts and new entrants into the bioeconomy which helps create new ideas to tackle these hard problems.  

To facilitate and accelerate the collaboration between software and science, Bits in Bio offers the following initiatives:
  • Global Community: Online/In-person interactions that enable focused deep-drives and learnings on a variety of interdisciplinary topics
  • Skills Training & Workshops: A compendium of content, talks, and resources created and curated by community members to enable self-directed and group learning
  • Bioeconomy Growth: Facilitate growth through talent matching, funding opportunities, and facilitating partnerships

Use of Funds: Bits in Bio seeks financial support to launch and sustain initiatives, including:
  • Create a unifying voice and effort around the convergence of science and software;
  • Cultivation and growth of the global community; 
  • Development and maintenance of online community platforms;
  • Creation curation, and dissemination of educational materials;
  • Organization of workshops, conferences, and networking events.
