We're excited to be launching Blacksky-Only posts, which are posts that can only be viewed and engaged with by members of the Blacksky Community. You can access the “community” feature by going to blacksky.community if you have a .blacksky.app handle or are a part of the Blacksky feed.

This has been one of the most requested features in our community for a long time, and bringing it to life ended up being about much more than building a new posting option. It required us to think through questions of governance, trust, moderation, privacy, and what it really means for a community to have ownership over its digital space.

Over the past months, community members helped shape proposals, voted on how these spaces should work, and we launched our peer moderator program for this feature. Nearly 20 people stepped up to help build the systems and practices that make this possible.

We also wanted to take a moment to thank you. Work like this doesn't happen overnight, and it doesn't happen without support. Your contributions gave us the time and resources to work through the technical challenges, community processes, and moderation infrastructure needed to make this launch possible.
