We Were Here, commissioned by Camden Council, has been touring across the borough since its launch at the Swiss Cottage Library in 2021.
This powerful collection of eight biographies celebrates individuals of African and Caribbean heritage who lived, worked, or studied in Camden over the past 300 years. Their stories explore themes of radical politics, community cohesion, education, abolition, interracial relationships, and racism, highlighting Camden’s long-standing history as a diverse and transformative place.
