Our project aims to secure representation for NZ in crucial international discussions related to carbon neutrality & sustainable practices in Costa Rica.
By attending these vital meetings, we can advocate for our nation's interests and ensure that our unique challenges and opportunities are considered in the development of global carbon-neutral standards. To achieve this, we need to raise funds for travel, accommodation, and participation expenses. Please note that the hotel rate is US dollars, and the per diem is NZ dollars.
If we have funding for Premium Economy for the return flights, the total budget will be NZ$13,231. However, if you travel Business Class both ways, the total budget would increase to NZ$17,921.29.
While attending the ISO meeting, Ann will attempt to interview key national representatives who play a crucial role in New Zealand exports. These interviews would focus on their perspectives regarding the implications of the EU and UK bans on carbon-neutral claims and the development and impact of carbon border adjustments (taxes). Additionally, I could include other questions on behalf of NZTE.
Please note that AirNZ prices were provided, and Emirates is more expensive in comparison.
Given the varying flight times, ranging from 20 to 36 hours for a one-way journey, opting for at least premium economy class is essential and business class preferred.
By contributing to our project, supporters will invest in our nation's economic future and ensure our voice is heard internationally. The outcomes of these discussions will directly impact various sectors of our economy, including the food export industry, and failing to address our concerns could result in significant financial burdens for businesses.
