Hello dear community,
We're really happy to have received a good response to our beginning to transition to a Family Sponsorship system! Everyone who has submitted their form so far should have received a response matching you with a family, so if you haven't heard back from us, please check your spam folder in case it's ended up in there.
We need as many people as possible to switch from Open Collective subscriptions to Family Sponsorships now so that we know how we're going to be able to continue to help families. For them, stability is key. When we talk to them we need to be able to assure them that they'll continue to be supported and their network of help won't disappear. Without help and the confidence that help will continue, they can't plan for any kind of future for themselves and their children (many of whom are beginning to return to education or hoping to soon.)
Please help us and them by filling in the form to become a Family Sponsor and setting up your monthly donation to your matched family. After you sign up you'll get an email with info all about the family you're helping, as well as downloadable artwork by CFG artists for you to print or share.
A reminder that we're planning to transfer entirely to this system and stop using Open Collective subscriptions, so if you want to continue supporting families in Gaza as part of our giving community, you'll need to become a Family Sponsor. I’ve been matched with a family and have made my first donation. However as I went through the donation process I never saw an option for setting up a recurring donation. I’ve added a monthly reminder to my calendar in the meantime, but I wanted to let you know in case anyone has any helpful info, and just in case this is an issue for other contributors.
I’m using an iPad but will make my donation on a laptop next month to see if that gives me different options.
