About

About Us
Community TechAid is helping to bridge the digital divide in Lambeth by supplying internet enabled devices to members of our community who would not otherwise be able to obtain them. We collect devices people no longer need (principally computers, tablets and mobile phones), ensure they are in good working order and deliver them to people in need, identified through local schools, refugee and other community organisations. In Lambeth, where in 2016 there were an estimated 87,000 people living in poverty*, an organisation like Community TechAid can make a real difference. Through charitable donations from neighbours across the borough, we have been able to provide dozens of students and low income households with the devices they need to access the online world.

This is a marvellous service and of great benefit to those who need these devices.  the fact that the charity Lambeth Techaid is completely run by volunteers is a wonderful testimony to the contribution of those who are giving their time to the community in this way.  Those who give their devices can be reassured that they are being given to those in need who are benefiting enormously from your kindness.
