About
About what I fund
I have no 'hard and fast' rules about what I will sponsor/throw some $$ towards. Sometimes it's on a whim; sometimes it's because I'm deeply interested in a particular project/mission; etc.
In general, I want to see and contribute to a world where the open-source ecosystem is not only sustainable, but can thrive; where creators and contributors can put all of their creative energy into the projects they care about, and still be able to afford to eat; where we remove financial barriers and burdens from people, while still giving them access to powerful tools and resources.
One area i'm particularly interested in is to see what pairing open source content distribution and sustainable content licensing models can do to disrupt services such as Netflix/etc. Where all content is available always (not chopped/changed on a whim like most current streaming services do), and yet where creators are still fairly incentivised for that content in enough of a 'low barrier of entry' way that people choose to pay for it rather than pirate it; not from some moral standpoint, but because the ease/economics of the situation make that the most logical choice.
About Me
Hack. Dev. Transcend.
Glenn is a full-stack, polyglot developer with an acute interest in the offensive side of security. Whether building something new or finding the cracks to break in, there is always a solution to be found; even if it requires learning something entirely new. If you can improve/automate something, do it, and if you've put the effort in to do so, open-source it and share it with everyone else.
When not hacking and coding, Glenn can be found snowboarding the peaks of Japan, cruising on his longboard, floating around underwater, or just finding the most efficient path between A and B (even if that's over walls). Life is short. Do the things you love, embrace the unknown, live your dreams, and share your passion.
