Alhamdulillah, Mustafa has finally received the £2,286 you all have donated prior to truce ending!
After truce it has been a battle for Mustafa Musallam, our journalist contact in Gaza to retrieve the funds. Businesses closed early and he had to ring the owner to get out funds out. The branch at Gaza made things harder for him by needing an official letter from us approving him to retrieve our funds, so it was a back and forth with our very small team in the UK in order to get the money out to families.
Mustafa has a contact to bulk buy supplies at a reasonable price despite things being very expensive as they are low in stock. He has also let us know he will send pictures soon, once he has finished distributing the rest of your donations. On a separate note, we raised another £492.56 yesterday from our Gaza Monologues reading at our local community centre, which will also be sent to Mustafa.
