About
Food Not Bombs Humboldt Park is a mutual aid group that has been sharing free groceries and supplies, no questions asked for 15+ years in Chicago's Humboldt Park neighborhood. The majority of our food comes from local grocery stores, farms, gardens, and producers and might otherwise go to waste. We supplement this with assistance from other organizations and occasional bulk purchases.
Since the March 2020, we've focused on a twice weekly neighborhood delivery model of distribution in addition to stocking local Love Fridge locations and sharing with other mutual aid groups. We hope to be back to distribution in the park at a future date.
The Humboldt Park Food Not Bombs chapter is one of thousands of self organized, loosely affiliated chapters, around the world that share food in an effort to foster positive social change. We believe food is a right, not a privilege.
Help us share more food by contributing, volunteering, or spreading the word!
